Workshops
The workshop program expands the installation into an educational and hands-on exploration of light, science, and perception. Using elements from the Luxtriplicata installation, participants engage directly with optical phenomena and related scientific principles through accessible, experimental formats.
Unveiling the Spectrum: Introduces the physical properties of light and color using prisms and components from Luxtriplicata. Participants explore how white light contains the full visible spectrum and how refraction, reflection, and dispersion separate light into color, making phenomena such as rainbow formation directly observable and linking physics with perception and color theory.
How Does Light Sound? explores the relationship between light and sound through simple modulation experiments. Participants transmit audio through a light beam using a sound source and a solar receiver, demonstrating basic principles of amplitude modulation, information transfer, and technologies related to communication systems such as radio and fiber optics.
Painting with Light: Focuses on light as a creative material through cameraless photography techniques. Using light-sensitive materials, participants create photograms and chemigrams, producing unique “light paintings” that emphasize experimentation with exposure, chemistry, and perception rather than photographic equipment.
Across all workshops, the aim is to make scientific principles tangible through direct experience, connecting optical physics with perception, creativity, and accessible hands-on learning.
